Litematica – Manual Installation Guide (Windows)

1. Download and Install Fabric Loader

1. Go to the official Fabric website:
   https://fabricmc.net/use/installer 
   Need help installing Fabric? How to install Fabric
2. Download:
   Fabric Installer for Windows (.exe)
3. Run the installer and set:
   • Minecraft Version: choose the same version you play (e.g., 1.20.1)
   • Loader Version: latest
   • ✔ Create Profile
4. Click Install.

Fabric Loader is now installed and will appear as a profile in your Minecraft Launcher.

2. Download the Required Mods

Litematica needs three mods to work:

Required Mods:

1. Fabric API
2. MaLiLib
3. Litematica

Download Links:

• Fabric API → https://modrinth.com/mod/fabric-api
• MaLiLib → https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/malilib
• Litematica → https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/litematica

⚠ Important:
Download the versions that match your Minecraft version (example: Minecraft 1.20.1 → download the 1.20.1 versions of all mods).

You should end up with 3 files like:

fabric-api-x.x.x.jar
malilib-x.x.x.jar
litematica-x.x.x.jar

3. Open Your .minecraft Folder

1. Press Win + R
2. Type:

   %appdata%\.minecraft
   

3. Press Enter

This opens the main Minecraft folder.

4. Find or Create the “mods” Folder

Inside .minecraft:

• If a folder named mods already exists → open it
• If not → create a new folder named exactly:

mods

5. Move the Mods Into the “mods” Folder

Copy the three downloaded files into:

.minecraft/mods

You should now have:

mods/
   fabric-api-x.x.x.jar
   malilib-x.x.x.jar
   litematica-x.x.x.jar

Nothing else is required.

6. Launch Minecraft Using Fabric

1. Open the Minecraft Launcher
2. In the bottom-left profile selector, choose:

Fabric Loader – (your Minecraft version)

3. Click Play

If everything is correct, the game will start normally and Litematica will be active.

Done! Litematica is successfully installed on Windows.

You can now press:

• M + C → Litematica Menu
• N → Schematic Placement Menu
• Alt + N → Load/Manage Schematics
• M → Main Mod Menu

Where to Place .litematic Files

Download the desired .litematic file and follow the steps below:

1. Press Windows + R

2. Type:

   %appdata%\.minecraft\schematics


3. Press Enter

4. Put all .litematic files inside the schematics folder.

If the folder does not exist:

• Right-click → New Folder

• Name it schematics

Now the schematic will appear in-game under:
Litematica → Load Schematics
